October 28, 2015 - ubuntu server

In most cases, many who experience this only until the setting .htaccess only. Due to the write permissions (write) is not given to these files (.htaccess), so changes to the settings contained in the file .htaccess unchanged. So when this problem occurs, simply give write access (write) the file .htaccess. Or can make changes manually. By way of:

Changing the contents of the file .htaccess like this:
#BEGIN WordPress

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^ index \ .php $ – [L] RewriteCond% {REQUEST_FILENAME}! -f
RewriteCond% {REQUEST_FILENAME}! -d
RewriteRule ,
/index.php [L]
#end WordPress

But, bad luck for me. I am still experiencing the same problem as I did a few steps above. I’ve also been doing repetitions to make sure no step is left behind. But the result is the same. The problems were still present. Then I try to find what caused this to happen. And Alhamdulillah …

Dicinta shoots, side dish arrived. After conducting a series of searching, finally found it. It turns out that there is a lag. But instead of remaining steps above. Because there are several configurations that I have not done. What is that?

Step 1. Mode activated the Rewrite

This time step is fairly easy. Simply write two word command, then rewrite mode is active.
Sudo a2enmod rewrite

Eits, do not forget to restart apache service
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
🙂

Done. Congratulations on your server rewrite mode has been activated.:)

Step 2. Changing the configuration of virtual hosting.

This step also, it is not difficult. Just change some configurations are located in the “etc / apache2 / sites-available / default”. Default (I marked in bold) can be changed according to the configuration of your server. ~ You can learn these issues here ~. But by default / default, virtual hosting configuration is as I wrote before.

open virtual hosting configuration file
sudo nano etc / apache2 / sites-available / default

Change the configuration of:

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride
None
Order allow, deny
allow from all

Becomes:

Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
AllowOverride
All
Order allow, deny
allow from all
